Abbas graduated from Purdue University, with a master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering. He joined the DNNG group in Fall 2018. His research at Purdue University involved transient analysis of neutrons in a sub-critical system for the detection of special nuclear materials (SNM) and medical radioisotope applications. His current research interest includes neutron transient measurements in presence of high gamma fields, accelerator-based active interrogation (AI) systems, and neutron imaging techniques.
