The Consortium for Monitoring, Technology, and Verification (MTV) held an Interactive Graduate School Experience on June 10-13, 2024, in Ann Arbor, MI. This year we welcomed nine undergraduate and master’s students with an interest in graduate school to U-M’s campus. The students joined from Fisk University, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the University of Michigan, and the University of New Mexico.
These students learned about Ph.D. research and graduate school day-to-day expectations by participating in roundtable discussions with current graduate students, networking events with faculty and graduate students, and daily hands-on laboratory experiments and demonstrations.
MTV U-M Laboratories that participated in the experience included:
- Detection for Nuclear Nonproliferation Group, Prof. Sara Pozzi
- Neutron Science Laboratory, Prof. Igor Jovanovic
- Position-Sensing Semiconductor Radiation Detector Laboratory, Prof. Zhong He
- Radiation Detection and Measurement Group, Prof. David Wehe
- Radiological Health Engineering Laboratory, Prof. Kimberlee Kearfott
