The Consortium for Monitoring, Technology, and Verification (MTV) took part in the annual University Program Review (UPR), held June 3–5 at the University of Florida. This annual gathering offers a key opportunity for students, faculty, and research collaborators to present their work and engage in in-depth technical discussions with peers, National Laboratory partners, and leaders from government research agencies.
This year’s plenary session highlighted the accomplishments of the five academic consortia supported by DNN R&D: MTV, CNF, ETI, NSSC, and TECH. MTV was well-represented, with students and postdocs delivering 15 oral presentations and 24 posters.
Three MTV students were recognized with awards at this year’s review:
- Best National Lab Collaborator: Jihye Jeon, Princeton University and Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory — “Authenticatable Fissile Material Measurements”
- Best Student Oral Presentation: Prabhjot Kaur, University of Michigan — “3-D Gamma-Ray Imaging using a CZT Compton-Scattering Imager and Two IMU”
- Best Student Poster: Londrea Garrett, University of Michigan — “Towards the Development of Resonant Enhanced Laser-Based Diagnostics for Molten Salt Reactor Safeguards”
Great job to all the MTV presenters! Your hard work truly shone—keep up the excellent work!
