Lauren graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering. In her undergraduate research, she conducted a material analysis to validate accident tolerant fuels and structural materials supporting generation IV reactor licensing. Now a first-year graduate research assistant at the University of Michigan, she applies laser-based optical spectroscopy techniques for remote detection. Lauren is an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship recipient. Her research interests include ultrafast lasers, non-proliferation, and science policy.
